MetroSperm not only measures sperm concentration of a sample, but also performs the necessary calculations to compute the results which the user actually needs.
The two measurement modes currently implemented address the following use cases:
In this measurement mode, MetroSperm will display the measured concentration expressed in terms of millions of sperm cells per insemination dose volume.
It is also possible to consider a given percentage of abnormal sperm cells, that might have been estimated microscopically,
such that the displayed result is given in terms of viable sperm cells.
These are the parameters that can be adjusted in this measurement mode:
Note that setting the volume of an insemination dose to 1ml will display results in terms of millions of viable sperm cells per millilitre.
This measurement mode is specifically tailored for the task of finding out how many insemination doses can be obtained from a given raw ejaculate.
